For fourteen years as a Family Thrift Counselor, Mary Webber shared her wisdom statewide in Maine through a weekly radio show and television segments on topics ranging from baking bread and raising chickens to fund-raising strategies and writing wills. But it has always been in the kitchen that Mary's practical approach has been particularly appreciated.

Mary has an extensive background in both print and broadcast media, as well as public relations and writing. After leaving media work, Mary became a middle school teacher for ten years, years she describes as "exhilarating and exhausting!"

She lives on a little less than two acres in Yarmouth, Maine, where she and her husband raise most of their own food.

More than just another cookbook, this new edition of The Frugal Family's Kitchen Book, updated and expanded, will be an invaluable addition to your kitchen bookshelf.
